My, my, how time does fly? I really appreciate the recent comments. They were a nice kick in the butt to get me back on track and remind myself to not let things I embark on collect dust in a corner and die all alone, surrounded by nothing more than its only friends: dust bunnies.

I don't really wear pants that often. Much rather let my legs feel the breeze in a dress. I don't even wear blue jeans, just black and burgundy/violet skinnies. But then I saw these:

Aren't they lovely? The crazy part is that they're only $39! The even funkier part is that you're gonna have to be seen at Hot Topic. I would never, ever, be caught trolling around Hot Topic, sipping on the lemonade from the Mrs. Field's next door, conversing with the pseudo-goths/punks about Twilight. It's in a mall! Real punks don't belong in corporate shopping villages.

But oh, those jeans in their marbled glory! They totally hark the Jil Sander Men's Fall '08 collection with a dash of McQueen Spring '09. As shown:

A lot of girls out there sure love 'em tote bags. I'm not really a fan of totes 'cause the canvas gets dirty too easily and eventually looks so worn down. I received a Smashing Pumpkins tote as a Xmas present which I love 'cause, for me, Billy Corgan can do no wrong and I didn't pay for it.

However, I am partial to these particular totes. I love their tongue-in-cheekness and even though I'm tired of everyone freakin' Andy Warholin' anything that has mass, the colors here don't piss me off and are rather pleasing to look at.

Boyfriends, if you can't afford to give your golddigging girlfriend that Louis she wants, I think this ain't a bad substitute.

This is a silk habotai shirt with fold-back cap sleeves, made with fair trade love in the Big Apple. I found this while meandering through a delightful site called Supermarket. You order goods directly from the original designers. The jewelry here is AMAZING.

The anniversary of my coming into the world--naked & screaming, torn away from the woman I love--is coming up and the question that begs to be answered is, "What do I want for my birthday?" Frankly, all I want is a tripod for my Nikon D60 and a new pair of heels/booties. Particularly these babies:

Other gals rather have something more drastic than a trip to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory or an Oreo cake for their birthdays (What's wrong with an Oreo cake? Hell, I'll take it if you don't want it), and opt instead for a little nip/tuck.

I got to admit, all those pictures/videos of bad celebrity plastic surgeries are sure addicting to look at. It's like an accident on the freeway: you can't help but slow down and look for blood or a loose head.

Tropical Storm Josephine

Storm modeling agency,in addition to having launched Kate Moss' career, has now launched what they call a "new media channel." The kaleidoscopic graphics sure are pretty to look at but the way the hodgepodge of topics are covered--ranging from an orange shade of MAC lipstick to eating disorders to Bikram yoga of all things--is disappointing due to just mere skimming of the subjects or just plain stating the obvious.

However, not all is confusing and bad. Resident lensman David Poole is having a contest for aspiring fashion photographers where he'll post his favorites of submitted shots on the website. Being the shutter-happy person I am, I immediately pounced on this and sent in a sampling of my work.

Alas, my eagerness will probably not pay off. In the rush of possibly winning this contest, therefore working at Storm assisting Mr. Poole, who then refers me to Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, and then Inez & Vinoodh will have a falling-out, leaving room for me to properly stick my foot in, resulting in the new photographic stylings of Inez van Lamsweerde & Josephine (yeah!) and whatever other pipe dreams filled my head, I failed to read the fine print which states the the contest is only open to UK residents.

The horror! Whatevs, I'm not bitter...It's not like I won already then got my prize revoked...Besides, I like fluoride in my tap water...and...uh...Yeah, America!

Halloween's still a good month-and-a-half away but already stores are bombarding us with plastic witches and discount 5 lb. bags of candy. Not that I don't mind; Halloween's my favorite holiday and who wouldn't mind diving into a plastic sack of "fun-size" Snickers anyways? However, all these preemptive holiday strikes make me worry about what I'm gonna be this year.

I simply adore the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Karen O is my lesbo crush. You want "fierce," Christian Siriano? Here's your damn fierce. I knew I wanted to be Karen but which out of all those deviously delicious Christian Joy outfits did I want to make? I stumbled upon this lil' number and I knew I must have it.

I used my Luella for Target polka-dot dress as the base to build my version of Joy's "money money" dress. Then off to Party City to exchange real currency for wads of fake Lincolns, Benjamins & Washingtons. I diligently stapled/taped all those bills to paper fans I made which were pinned to the Luella dress. Took a week to make but, damn, I love that dress.

Note: I was bending down in the picture so that's why my legs look so odd. Also, please ignore the doofus expression on my face.

Fashion + Photography = An explosive Fashphogasm (hopefully involving Nigel Barker) . This combo is almost as delic' as that pimp Chocolate doing the horizontal tango with Madam Peanut Butter.

Nah, who am I kidding? A Vogue spread beats any soft-core porn happening inside that Reese's cup.

The first picture was for a photography class assignment. As you can see, I drew inspiration from ANTM. I was surprised how well it turned out considering it was 3 in the morning, the day the assignment was due and my "studio" was the communal bathroom in my dorm.
